Travel hurricane-free with NWA WorldVacations

EDINA, Minn., May 6, 2008 — With hurricane season just around the corner, NWA WorldVacations today reintroduced the company’s hurricane travel policy.

In the event that a hurricane watch (or warning) is issued for a customer’s destination in Mexico or the Caribbean, NWA WorldVacations customers will have the following options in addition to normal cancellation rules:

Rebook their vacation without penalty to another NWA WorldVacations destination and depart within seven days before or after original departure date.
Cancel their vacation and receive a gift card refund, valid for booking another destination within 60 days for travel anytime, based on availability. A $50 per person service fee will be assessed.

Customers must cancel their existing booking before their scheduled departure date and time. It will be the customer's responsibility to pay the difference if the rebooked vacation costs more than the original vacation; NWA WorldVacations will issue a gift card valid for one year for the difference if the rebooked vacation costs less than the original vacation.

“Our NWA WorldVacations customers can book with confidence, knowing they will have an opportunity to change their travel dates if the weather is not cooperating,” said Ken Pomerantz, President and Chief Marketing Officer. “And when they do go on vacation, they are sure to have a great vacation in the Caribbean and Mexico.”

NWA WorldVacations also offers extra hurricane protection with the purchase of the Travel Protection Plan: Travelers may cancel their trip up to the moment of departure and receive a full refund in the form of a gift card if their destination is under a hurricane watch or warning. The plan also includes medical expense coverage and emergency assistance; coverage for trip cancellation, interruption or delay; coverage for luggage loss, damage or delay; and a “cancel for any reason” waiver, which provides the option to cancel a trip up to the moment of departure for any other reason.
